Camp Gen Alejo S Santos, City of Malolos, Bulacan — Bulacan Police carried out a series of intensified police operations resulting in the arrest of one gun law offender, three drug personalities, and three illegal gamblers on Wednesday and Thursday.
According to the reports submitted to PCol Relly Arnedo, Provincial Director of Bulacan PPO, separate buy-bust operations were conducted by the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) of Balagtas and Angat Police Station wherein three drug peddlers were arrested.
Seized during the operations were seven plastic sachets of suspected shabu, assorted drug paraphernalia, and buy-bust money.
The arrested suspects and confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to the Bulacan Provincial Forensic Unit for appropriate examination, while criminal complaints for violations of R.A. 9165 against the suspect is now being prepared for filing in court.
Meanwhile, authorities at Marilao Police Station responded to a telephone call. Upon reaching out to the said place of incident, a 20-year-old male individual was caught in possession of one (1) caliber 38 revolver with a serial number (PR-09034831). Upon further verification, the suspect could not provide documentation for the gun and was arrested. Appropriate complaints relative to the violation of RA 10591 (Illegal Possession of Firearm) have been filed against the suspect.
On the other hand, an anti-illegal gambling operation was conducted by Guiguinto Police Station that resulted in the arrest of three (3) illegal gamblers. who has been caught in the act of playing an illegal card game (tong-its). Confiscated evidence includes one (1) set of playing cards and bet money in different denominations.
All accused are presently under the custody of the arresting unit or station for proper disposition.
