Camp Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga- – Police authorities have seized several firearms and ammunition during the implementation of Search Warrant, Monday, July 3 in Guimba, Nueva Ecija.
Joint operatives of the Regional Special Operations Group 3, RMFB3 and Guimba MPS led by PLTCOL JAY C DIMAANDAL, AFC, RMFB3/C, RSOG3 implemented Search Warrant no. 22-2023-OEJ for violation of R.A. 10591( Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunition) issued by Hon. FRAZIERWIN VILLAFLOR VITERBO, Executive Judge, Regional Trial Court, Third Judicial Region, Branch 33, Guimba, Nueva Ecija against Gil GAMIS y Romin, current Barangay Chairman of Brgy. San Miguel, Guimba, Nueva Ecija which resulted to his arrest and confiscation of one M16 rifle, one Carbine, one rifle grenade, numerous rounds of live ammunition, magazine assemblies and a flare gun.
The search was done in an orderly manner in the presence of barangay officials.
“We have been continuously beefing up our aggressive drive to recover and to seize loose firearms through continuous police operations and implementation of Search Warrants against illegal gun owners. May this serve as a stern warning to all especially those who have not yet renewed their licenses or turned-over their undocumented firearms in their nearest police stations for safe keeping. Stricter penalties are imposed against violators,” Central Luzon Director PBGEN JOSE S HIDALGO JR said.
