7 former rebel get cash aid in Tarlac  

Seven former rebels who turn over and surrender their firearms receive cash assistance from the Municipal task Force to End Local Armed Conflict of Capas, Tarlac On August 25, 2022.

FORT MAGSAYSAY, Nueva Ecija – Seven (7) Former Rebels received cash assistance from the Municipal Task Force to End Local Armed Conflict (MTF-ELCAC) of Capas, Tarlac under the program Presentation of Former Rebels and Turn Over of Surrendered Firearms held at Capas Municipal Covered Court, Barangay Sto Domingo, Capas, Tarlac on August 25, 2022.

Following the surrender of the 7 FRs last July 01, 2022 to the 3rd Mechanized Infantry (Makatarungan) Battalion together with their firearms and equipment and revealing the location of the arms cache of the Communist Terrorist Group on Barangay Sta Juliana, Capas Tarlac.

A simple handover ceremony of Five thousand pesos to every FRs was witnessed by Captain Jan Carlo A. Tabaculde, Company Commander of 31st Mechanized Infantry Battalion and MTF-ELCAC of Capas, Tarlac as initial assistance for the former rebels and will be awarded Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP).

In his statement, Lieutenant Colonel Jeszer M Bautista, Acting Commanding Officer shows his gratitude to the former rebels for their bravery, trust, and decision to return to the fold of the law.  

We can recall that the 3Mech Bn intensifies its relationship with various government offices and organizations to seek assistance to provide livelihood support for former rebels. 

“As the acting commanding officer of 3rd Mech Bn, I would like to extend my gratitude to our brothers who decided to lay down their firearms and leave the CTG who deceived and exploited them. I assure you that we will protect you at all costs.” Lt Col Bautista added.

Meanwhile, Major General Andrew D Costelo, the Commander of the 7th Infantry (KAUGNAY) Division cited the initiative of the 3rd Mech Bn and other Local Government Units in giving financial assistance to the Rebel Returnee and urged the MTF-ELCAC to continue its collaborative activities that will gain more accomplishments.

“Malaking tulong ang suporta ng LGU sa mga dating rebelde na nakakatulong sa kanilang pagsisimulang muli at mas naipaparamdam natin sakanila na importante ang kanilang pagbabalik-loob sa kapayapaan na ating hinahangad.” MGen Costelo added.
