6 rebels return to government in Bulacan

CAMP Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga – Six former Militiang Bayan members voluntary surrendered to authorities in Aurora and pledged their allegiance back to the government on Tuesday, June 13, 2023.
The surrenderers have joined the group of Regional Sentro Gravidad of the Komiteng Rehiyon-Cagayan Valley (KR-CV) operating in the province of Isabela, according to Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) director BGen. Jose Hidalgo Jr.
They also turned-in two hand grenades, an improvised 12-gauge Shotgun, 1-meter detonating cord, one  blasting cap; three pieces 12-gauge ammunition; one  piece M14 magazine; 10 pcs. of 7.62mm ammunition, flag of CPP-NPA and several subversive books and documents.
Likewise, lawmen provided them with financial assistance and assorted goods as they reintegrate to their communities thereafter.
“The government will always welcome members of CTG with open arms and we will give our best efforts to assist them as they reunite with their families. I call on our fellow Filipinos who are still active members of leftist groups to return to government side and help us build better and safer communities for everyone,” Hidalgo said.
