58 barangays get P11.6M aid from  PBBM’s “Bawat Bayan Makikinabang Program”

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga — Fifty-eight villages from five municipalities in Pampanga are the first batch of beneficiaries of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s “Bawat Bayan Makikinabang Program” who received a total of P11.6 million financial assistance distributed last June 22, 2026.

The assistance forms part of the P101-million Local Government Support Fund (LGSF) turned over by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. to the Province of Pampanga during his visit on May 14, 2026.

The distribution was led by Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda, Vice Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda, and members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, who personally turned over the assistance to the beneficiary barangays in ceremonies held at the Capitol Grounds.

“This was given by our President Marcos, where P200,000 was allocated for each of the 505 barangays. This assistance is a big deal for our barangays so that they can have something to use for their needs,” said Gov. Pineda.

The first batch of beneficiary barangays came from the municipalities of Sta. Rita with 10 barangays, Sta. Ana with 14 barangays, Apalit with 12 barangays, Minalin with 15 barangays, and Santo Tomas with 7 barangays. Each barangay received P200,000 in subsidy.

Of the amount received by each barangay, P100,000 will be allocated as educational assistance for five college student scholars, with each student receiving P20,000 to help support the continuation of their studies.

The remaining P100,000 will be used for the barangays’ identified development projects, which may include the purchase of additional CCTV cameras, monoblock chairs and tent, industrial fans, patrol vehicles, post lights, office supplies, and other equipment needed to improve barangay operations and public service delivery.

“This is a great help to our barangays, especially to those who are less fortunate and want to finish their studies,” said Kap Primo Fabian of Barangay Lourdes, Minalin.

Governor Pineda assured that the funds will undergo proper audit procedures to ensure transparency and accountability, and to make certain that the assistance will be used for its intended projects.

The Provincial Government of Pampanga said the program aims to support barangays in implementing priority community projects while providing additional assistance to students pursuing higher education.
