400 IP students receive school supplies in Nueva Vizcaya  

A community outreach program was spearheaded by the 84th Infantry Battalion and 7th Infantry Division of the Philippine Army and Rotary Clubof Makati for Indigeous People in Nueva Viscaya lasy September 20, 2022.

FORT MAGSAYSAY, Nueva Ecija – As part of the organization’s program to support the needs of less fortunate children, the 84th Infantry (Victorious) Battalion, 7th Infantry (Kaugnay) Division, Philippine Army and Rotary Club of Makati–San Antonio conducted a Community Outreach Program for Indigenous People (IP) at Pelaway Elementary School, Barangay Pelaway, Alfonso Castañeda, Nueva Vizcaya on September 20, 2022.

The 400 said students are residents from the Barangays of Pelaway, Kawayan, and Lipuga all of Alfonso Castañeda, Nueva Viscaya. Each one received (1) bag with notebooks, pad paper, pencils, set of crayons, and other valuable school materials.

One of the teachers of the school, Ms Mara Tacura expressed her gratitude to the 84th IB and Rotary Club of Makati-San Antonio for bringing assistance to their IP students.

In his statement, Lieutenant Colonel Enrico Gil C Ileto, Commanding Officer, 84IB lauded the initiative of the Rotary Club of Makati-San Antonio for supporting the unit’s mission in serving the people, especially on children’s education within the area of operations.

Likewise, Major General Andrew D Costelo, Commander, 7ID extended his appreciation to the Rotary Club of Makati-San Antonio for the partnership. As the Commander reiterated the importance of support to the future generation, he expressed willingness for more partnership that is helpful not just to the IP students but to every community as well.
