29 law offenders arrested in Bulacan PNP's anti-crime drive

CAMP Gen Alejo S Santos, City of Malolos, Bulacan — Six drug suspects, seven wanted persons, and sixteen illegal gamblers, were arrested in an anti-crime drive conducted by Bulacan Police Provincial Office over the weekend..

Bulacan PPO director PCol. Relly Arnedo, said that a series of drug bust operations conducted by the Station Drug Enforcement Units (SDEU) of San Rafael, Pandi and Guiguinto Police Station led to the arrest of six (6) drug suspects identified as Jake Angelo Dela Cruz of Sabang, Baliwag; Jericho Galang of Bunsuran 1st, Pandi; Edmond Galang; and Marcelino Ababoy; and Eladio Bayle Jr all of Valenzuela City; and Cynthia Ardeño of Tiaong, Guiguinto. Confiscated were a total of eleven (11) sachets of suspected shabu.

On the other hand, warrant officers of Norzagaray, Bocaue, Sta. Maria, Hagonoy, San Jose del Monte, and Bulacan 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company arrested seven (7) other wanted persons. They were nabbed for the crime of Theft; Violation of R.A. 9165; Violation of RA10654 (Philippine Fisheries Code); Violation of 9262 (Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act of 2004); Grave Oral Defamation and crime of Homicide. All accused are presently under the custody of the arresting unit/station for proper disposition.

Further, in different anti-illegal gambling operations conducted by Marilao and Bocaue Police Station, ten (10) individuals were arrested for illegal cockfighting (tupada) and six (6) more for card betting (pusoy). Confiscated were fighting cocks, gaffs, a set of playing cards, and bet money in different denominations. Appropriate criminal complaints against the arrested suspects are now being readied for filing in court.
