FORT MAGSAYSAY, Nueva Ecija – Two former CTG member receive financial assistance through Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (ECLIP) in a simple awarding ceremony at Balin Sambali, Iba, Zambales on June 08, 2022.
The distribution of financial assistance was led by Governor Hermogenes E. Ebdane Jr together with DILG Provincial Director Armi V. Bactad, Provincial Social Welfare and Development Officer Merle C. Pastor, Zambales Provicial Police Office (ZPPO) provincial director PCol Fitz A. Macariola, and Acting Commanding Officer ng 3rd Mechanized Infantry Battalion Lieutenant Colonel Jeszer M. Bautista.
One of the former rebels shows his gratitude on the support they received from our troops and to the local government of Zambales saying, “Nagpapasalamat po kami dahil sa kabila ng pagkalihis namin ng landas ay nabigyan pa kami ng pagkakataong magbalik loob at mga makatanggap ng ganitong mga benepisyo at tulong.”
Col. Macariola emphasized that the PNP and army is always open to accept former CTG member and he assured them of a peaceful life with their families if they continue to surrender and trust the government.
“Ito ay isang buhay na patotoo na mayroong pag-asang nakaabang sa mga susuko at magbabalik loob na mga rebelde, hindi pa huli ang lahat, wag ninyong sayangin ang pagkakataong makasama ang inyong mga pamilya. Mayroong programa at benepisyo na inilaan ang pamahalaan, makipagtulungan upang atin nang makamit ang ganap na kapayapaang at tuloy tuloy na kaunlaran,” Lt. Colonel Bautista said.
On the other hand, MGen Andrew Costelo PA, Commander, 7th Infantry (Kaugnay) Division encourages the former CTG member to use the financial assistance they received in meaningful ways. “I hope that the amount you receive will be the stepping stone you need to start a peaceful life with your family. Our government is always here to help our fellow Filipino who have been deceived by our enemy, let us warmly welcome them as they embrace the life they once wish to have.” MGEN COSTELO said.
