17 ILLEGAL GAMBLERS AND 5 ILLEGAL DRUG DEALERS ARRESTED BY BULACAN COPS

Camp General Alejo S Santos, City of Malolos, Bulacan — Twenty-two law offenders were arrested in the different anti-criminality operations conducted by Bulacan PNP on March 30 and early of March 31, 2024.

 

Based on the reports to PCOL RELLY B ARNEDO, Provincial Director of Bulacan PNP, it was stated that a series of buy-bust operations conducted by the Station Drug Enforcement Unit by operatives of Pulilan, Norzagaray, Balagtas, and Angat MPS resulted in the arrest of five (5) drug peddlers. Confiscated during the operations were a total of eighteen (18) plastic sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated weight of 4.23 grams and an estimated drug price value of twenty-eight thousand seven hundred sixty-four pesos (Php 28,764.00), drug paraphernalia, and buy-bust money.

 

The arrested suspects and confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to the Bulacan Provincial Forensic Unit for appropriate examination, while criminal complaints for violations of R.A. 9165 is now being prepared against the suspects for filing in court.

 

Meanwhile, an anti-illegal gambling operation conducted by San Jose del Monte CPS, Bocaue, and Bustos MPS resulted in the arrest of seventeen (17) illegal gamblers. They were caught in the act of playing and betting on an illegal coin game (Cara y Cruz), an illegal drop ball, cards, and color game (Peryahan). Confiscated evidence from the suspects included six (6) pieces of one-peso coins used as pangaras, illegal games paraphernalia (wooden drop balls, cards, and wooden color games with dice), and bet money in different denominations.

 

The arrested suspects are currently under the custody of the arresting station for proper disposition.
