In an effort to enhance the delivery of public services by local officials in Barangay Culat, Casiguran, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) – Aurora District Engineering Office (DEO) has constructed a two-storey multipurpose building (MPB) to serve as their new office.

The 277-square meter structure features dedicated spaces such as a Barangay Captain’s office, a session hall for meetings, a waiting area for visitors, a pantry, storage rooms for supplies, a roof deck for gatherings, and two restrooms.

DPWH Region III Director Roseller Tolentino has commended District Engineer Roderick Andal for prioritizing the construction of barangay infrastructures and mentioned that it is a testament to the DPWHโ€™s commitment to improving public facilities.

Meanwhile, Andal highlighted the significance of this project, emphasizing its role in empowering local communities, and delivering accessible and responsive government services.

“The relocation from the old, deteriorating barangay hall to the construction of this modern and spacious facility signifies our office’s renewed commitment to serving the community,” Andal remarked.

Funded under the 2023 national budget at P4.7 million, the project will also serve as a venue for community meetings, events, and activities, fostering resident interaction and creating a crucial hub for the community.#(DPWH AURORA DPAIU)
