DPWH-Bulacan 2nd DEO conducts Internal Quality Audit for ISO compliance

The Department of Public Works and Highways – Bulacan 2nd District Engineering Office underwent an Internal Quality Audit (IQA) from August 22 to 24, 2023 in conformance with the implementation of the Quality Management System (QMS) and as part of assessing compliance with ISO 9001:2015,

The 3-day audit, led by Lead Auditor Joyce Anne Valdestamon and Micah Moncal-Martin, commenced with the inspection of each office’s processes, with the actual audit started with the Office of the District Engineer and Assistant District Engineer, followed by the Public Information Office; Information and Communication Technology Unit; Procurement Unit; Finance; HRAS; Planning and Design; Construction; QAS; Maintenance Section, as well as the Equipment Service Unit.

Valdestamon explained that this IQA aims to ensure ongoing performance and office adherence to the requirements of ISO 9001:2015, preparing them for in case the Third-Party Audit has been scheduled.

During the exit conference, Valdestamon announced that, based on the reviewed and presented documents, all units and sections are in compliance with the QMS procedures and processes; however, minor lapses were identified and immediate adherence and compliance were advised.

District Engineer George DC. Santos expressed gratitude to the IQA auditors and the entire Bulacan 2nd workforce for their valuable inputs, which contributed to the audit’s success and excellent outcome, resulting in a smooth conclusion of the three-day activity.
