CAMP Alejo S Santos, City of Malolos, Bulacan — Operatives of Malolos City Police during implementation of Warrant of Arrest arrested the Top 1 Most Wanted Person of the City Of Malolos, Bulacan after several months of hiding from the authorities in Batac City, Ilocos Norte on Tuesday, March 21, 2023.
PLt Col Andrei Anthony Manglo, Acting Chief of Police of Malolos CPS, in his report to PCol Relly Arnedo, Bulacan PNP provincial director, the arrested suspect was identified as Larry Cantong Jr, 19 years old, farm laborer in Ilocos.
He was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for Homicide with Criminal Case No. 7099-2022, issued by Hon. Mylene Cabigao Albaytar- Avendaño, Presiding Judge of Third Judicial Region Regional Trial Court, Branch 83, Malolos City, Bulacan dated December 20, 2022, with the recommended bail of PHP 120,000.00.
The suspect is accused of hacking and death of a 59-year-old victim identified as Reynaldo Paraiso, last October 6, 2022.
“The apprehension of the Top 1 MWP in the city level of Malolos City is a testament to the unwavering commitment of the Bulacan PNP to serve justice to the victim’s family,” Arnedo said.
Arnedo added that the tireless efforts of the Malolos CPS tracker team in pursuing and capturing the accused, demonstrate the effectiveness of the Bulacan PNP’s crime solution strategies.
