In line with the 126th commemmoration of Philippine Independence Day, Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. wants to remind Angeleños of the greatest contributions of our national heroes.
With this, Chief Adviser IC Calaguas on May 10, 2024 upon the order of Mayor Lazatin, instructed members of the City Engineer’s Office, headed by OIC Helen Ayro, to install and light up the Independence Day lanterns along major thoroughfares in the city.
The said lanterns were personally conceptualized by Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel.
To recall, since Mayor Lazatin took office, the city government has been promoting local talents in lantern making, boosting the city’s tourism.
