
Camp Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga – Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) announced the successful arrest of two suspects in the brutal killing of two women in Palauig, Zambales, during a hot pursuit operation that ended in Caloocan City.
The suspects, identified as alias “Jinky,” 30, female, jobless, and alias “Benedict,” 34, male, mechanic—both residents of Masinloc, Zambales—were arrested at around 11:30 a.m. on August 16, 2025, inside a hotel in Bagong Barrio, Caloocan City.
Their arrest was carried out by joint elements of the Zambales Police Provincial Office (ZPPO) Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit, Caloocan City Police Station,
PIT-Zambales, operatives from PRO3 and the PNP Intelligence Group.
The operation stemmed from a double murder incident that occurred on August 14, 2025, at Purok 5, Brgy. Salaza, Palauig, Zambales. Witness accounts revealed that at around 3:00 a.m., a speeding vehicle was heard in the area followed by gunshots. Hours later, the bodies of two female victims were found in a canal—identified as alias “Khang-Khang,” of Brgy. Tal-Tal, Masinloc, Zambales, and another female known nn only as “Leng-Leng.”
Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) processed the area and recovered multiple pieces of evidence including five empty .45 caliber shells, sachets suspected of containing illegal drugs, personal accessories, and cash.
A hot pursuit operation was immediately launched after reports indicated that the suspects fled aboard a black Subaru vehicle with plate number NVO 573 bound for Metro Manila. With assistance from PRO3 leadership, a flash alarm was issued, and CCTV monitoring later traced the vehicle to said hotel in Caloocan.
At around 11:20 a.m. of August 16, alias “Jinky” was first spotted and arrested after exiting her room to buy cigarettes, which subsequently led to the capture of her partner alias “Benedict” in Room 131. Seized during the operation were a caliber .38 revolver and the vehicle used in the escape.
Both suspects were informed of their constitutional rights and subjected to medical examination. They are now under police custody pending the filing of appropriate charges.
