Singkaban Job Fair offers 6,076 vacancies to Bulakenyos

As part of the last day celebration of Singkaban Festival, the Provincial Government of Bulacan through the Provincial Youth, Sports and Public Employment Service Office (PYSPESO) and Department Of Labor and Employment – Regional Office 3 (DOLE-RO3) conducted a Singkaban Job Fair 2023  (Local and Overseas Employment) held at the Provincial Capitol Gymnasium, City of Malolos on Friday, September 15, 2023.
 
According to PYSPESO Officer-In-Charge Atty. Jayric Amil, there are 50 local companies and 5 overseas agencies offered job opportunities with 2,567 job offered abroad and 3,509 vacancies for local companies.

Castro reminded the Bulakenyos to be cautious of the job offers from online platforms such as Facebook and encouraged job hunters to also consider local employment.
 
“Kami po ni Governor Daniel Fernando ay patuloy po sa paghikayat sa pagpasok ng iba’t ibang kumpanya, proyekto, negosyo’t pamumuhunan sa Bulacan. Ito ay upang matiyak natin na masigla ang mga lokal na ekonomiya at may nakalaang mga trabaho sa bawat Bulakenyo,’ said Castro.
 

The job fair also offered a one-stop shop where applicants may avail government services from SSS, PSA, Pag-IBIG, PhilHealth, BIR, DMW, DTI and DOLE. 

Meanwhile, coinciding the job fair was the Awarding of DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program (DILP) spearheaded by Castro and DOLE-RO3 director Geraldine Panlilio where a total of P8.6-million worth of livelihood  packages were distributed to 511 beneficiaries.
 
“Sana makatulong ang programang ito para ma-enhance at ma-improve ang inyong mga skills at effort sa pagtataguyod ng munting negosyo,” RD Panlilio said.
 
The livelihood package composed of 113 sewing machines, 22 welding machines, 100 for Bake and Pastry, 70 food processing, 100 Massage Kit and 106 soap making.
