CAMP General Alejo S Santos, City of Malolos — A robbery suspect was neutralized during an armed encounter in Brgy. Lumbac, Pulilan, Bulacan on Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at about 11:00 pm.
Acting Provincial Director of Bulacan Police Provincial Office Col. Charlie Cabradilla said that the Pulilan PS promptly responded to a report from the victim identified as Ryan Jake Bautista, 21 of Barangay Tabang, Plaridel, Bulacan where he was robbed by an armed suspect and took his single motorcycle which was occurred in Brgy. Taal, Pulilan.
Investigation showed that around 9:00PM when the suspect approached the victim and carted away his belongings and motorcycle prompted the victim to immediately report the incident to the police.
During the hot pursuit operation, an individual, fitting the description of the suspect and victim’s motorcycle was flagged down by police officers in Lumbac, Pulilan.
The suspect, instead of halting, drew his firearm and fired at the police officers. Authorities were prompted to retaliate, which led to the suspect’s death.
Recovered in the crime scene were one Cal. 45 pistol, one Yamaha Nmax motorcycle color matt red, one black belt bag containing cash money amounting to Php 1,570.00, ID of the victim, and five sachets of suspected shabu weighing at about twenty (20) grams with estimated DDB value of Php 136,000.00.
Further investigation later identified the suspect as a certain Brian Victorino, 25, resident of Longos, Pulilan.
Victorino was tagged as a new member of Serano Criminal Gang, operating within Pulilan, Bulacan, and adjacent municipalities.
