The Party-list Coalition Foundation Inc. (PCFI) newly appointed Assistant Secretary General Rep. Brian Poe of FPJ Panday Bayanihan Party-list expressed full support for the new leadership, emphasizing that the new officers represent a stronger, younger, and more reform-minded coalition.
The PCFI inaugurated its new leadership recently at the House of Representatives, ushering in a new era of reform and inclusivity and credible party-list bloc in Congress.

Poe said that the new leadership signals a coalition that is more dynamic, transparent, and united in purpose.
“The inclusion of reform advocates like Akbayan Rep. Percy Cendaña, now Vice President for 3rd term, and human rights champions such as ML Rep. Leila De Lima and Akbayan Rep. Chel Diokno in the Legal Team shows that the minority bloc will play a stronger, more constructive role in policy and oversight. We are reasserting that the party-list system can be a force for fairness, accountability, and good governance,” Poe added.
“Together with Minority Floor Leader and new Party-list Coalition Chairman Rep. Marcelino Libanan, and official spokespersons Kamanggagawa Party-list Rep. Eli San Fernando and Deputy Minority Leader Rep. JC Abalos, this coalition will ensure that every sectoral voice — from workers to youth, from cooperatives to senior citizens — is heard and represented in the national conversation,” said Poe.
Led by Rep. Jose “Bong” Teves Jr. of TGP Party-list as the new President, the council aims to restore the party-list system’s good image through genuine public service.
Teves succeeds former Rep. Zaldy Co of Ako Bicol Party-list, who resigned from the House earlier this year.
In his message, Teves emphasized that his leadership will be anchored on honesty, integrity, and genuine public service.
“Through our unity, let us reform everything and restore the true image of the party-list,” Teves said.
“Many say that the party-list system has failed, but we are here to prove that it can work — and that it must serve the people it was meant to represent,” he added.
“We’re witnessing a genuine transformation within the Party-list Coalition — one that reflects the energy of younger representatives and the resolve of reformists to bring back credibility to the system,” Congressman Poe said.
