
CITY OF MALOLOS – The Municipality of Pulilan clinched the top spot during the Parada ng Karosa 2025, one of the most awaited highlights of Singkaban Festival, during the awarding ceremony held at the Bulacan Capitol Gymnasium here yesterday.
As the champion, Pulilan took home ₱100,000 cash prize while the Municipality of Paombong placed 2nd with ₱70,000 and the Municipality of Bocaue ranked 3rd with ₱50,000, each also received gift certificates from Aristocrat Restaurant.
From their float adorned with decorations inspired by harvest and creative designs symbolizing the diligence of farmers and their devotion to San Isidro Labrador, the patron saint of farmers, Pulilan Tourism Officer Josef Christian Navarro conveyed his pride and gratitude for the award, highlighting the collective effort of the community in preparing the float that impressed both the judges and spectators.
“Sa pamamagitan ng aming pagsali, naipamalas namin na ang Bayan ng Pulilan ay hindi lamang makasining kundi mayaman din sa kultura at tradisyon. Lubos din ang aming pasasalamat sa Pamahalaang Panlalawigan ng Bulacan dahil sa pamamagitan ng ganitong pagdiriwang ay higit nating napapahalagahan ang ating pinagsasaluhang kasaysayan na siyang humuhubog at nagpapatibay sa ating pagkakakilanlan bilang mga tunay na Bulakenyo,” Navarro said.
Consolation prizes worth ₱20,000 each were also given to the Municipality of Norzagaray, Group of Bulacan Events Professionals (GBEP), DepEd Schools Division Office – City of Malolos, and the Municipality of Bulakan for their commendable entries.
Meanwhile, other floats who competed in the competition were the DepEd Schools Division Office – City of Baliwag, Toyota Marilao, DepEd Schools Division Office – City of Malolos, Group of Bulacan Events Professionals (GBEP), Municipalities of Norzagaray, Bulakan, Angat, Plaridel, and Hagonoy, DepEd Schools Division Office – Bulacan.
The non-competing floats featured participants from various sectors, including government agencies, educational institutions, civic groups, and private companies such as the Provincial Government of Bulacan, Balangay Apuy Tour Guides Association, San Rafael Vehicle, City of Malolos Vehicle, Jollibee Malolos Crossing, DILG Bulacan, Bulacan Police Provincial Office, Landbank Malolos Highway Branch, Meralco Malolos, Asian Land Strategies Corp, CEU Malolos, Waltermart Malolos, Regasco Tronix Imaging Center, Karilagan Stevia Farm Pavilion and Catering and Café, Praxis Fides MBAI, The Hungry Pita, Palawan Pawnshop, Ligas Kooperatiba ng Bayan sa Pagpapaunlad (LKBP), and GSIS.
