PRO3 seized P1.5M shabu in Angeles City, Bataan

In a decisive victory in Central Luzon’s intensified campaign against illegal drugs, operatives of Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) carried out two successful operations on April 24, 2025, leading to the arrest of high-value individuals and the confiscation of more than ₱1.5 million worth of suspected shabu.

At approximately 10:20 PM in Angeles City, joint elements of the Angeles City Drug Enforcement Unit (ACDEU) and Police Station 1 conducted a buy-bust operation near San Nicolas Market, Brgy. San Nicolas. The operation resulted in the arrest of a 27-year-old high-value target identified as alias “JR,” a resident of Brgy. Sto. Rosario, Angeles City.

Confiscated from the suspect were three heat-sealed plastic sachets containing around 50 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated value of ₱340,000. The suspect and seized evidence were brought to the ACDEU office for proper disposition and the filing of appropriate charges under the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Earlier that day, in a separate anti-illegal drug operation in Limay, Bataan, personnel from the Limay Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) and the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) of Bataan Police Provincial Office arrested a 28-year-old sound system operator, alias “Brad,” in Brgy. Reformista. Authorities seized approximately 175 grams of suspected shabu with a standard drug price of ₱1.19 million, along with marked money used in the transaction. The suspect is now under police custody and will face charges for violations of Sections 5 and 11 of Republic Act No. 9165.

PRO3 Regional Director PBGEN Jean Fajardo commended the operating units for their swift and intelligence-led action.“These successful operations demonstrate our firm commitment to the directive of our Chief PNP, PGen Rommel Francisco Marbil, to intensify the campaign against illegal drugs through strategic, intelligence-driven operations,” PBGEN Fajardo stated.

She further emphasized the region’s unwavering resolve: “PRO3 remains relentless in our efforts to rid communities of illegal drugs and safeguard every Filipino family from this menace.”

PBGEN Fajardo also underscored the importance of parallel efforts to combat misinformation. She reiterated PRO3’s strong support for the PNP’s Joint Anti-Fake News Action Committee (JAFNAC) and its mission to preserve public trust and safety.

“The fight against illegal drugs must go hand in hand with the fight against disinformation. Both are threats to peace and public order. We urge our partners in the media and the community to be responsible, vigilant, and discerning in sharing information—especially online,” she added.

Police Regional Office 3 continues to stand firm in its mission to build a drug-free, secure, and truth-driven society, aligned with the Bagong Pilipinas vision of the Marcos administration.
