Camp Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga — In accordance with the order of the Philippine National Police (PNP) Headquarters, the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) has been placed under Full Alert Status from May 3 to 15, 2025.
This is part of the intensified security preparations, nine days before the National and Local Elections scheduled for May 12.
According to PRO3 Regional Director, PBGEN Jean S. Fajardo, their preparations are in full swing to ensure a peaceful, orderly, and clean election in the entire Central Luzon region.
“We are working with the COMELEC, AFP, and other government agencies to ensure the safety of our people on election day. Peace in elections is peace for the people,” RD Fajardo said.
Among the directives implemented under the Full Alert Status is the deployment of additional police officers in identified election areas of concern and voting centers in the provinces of Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, and Pampanga.
The Quick Reaction Forces (QRF) and Reactionary Standby Support Forces (RSSF) are also ready to respond immediately to any incident of violence or unrest.
PRO3 assured that their monitoring operations are 24/7, in collaboration with intelligence units, to immediately identify and respond to any security threats.
PRO3 also called on the public to cooperate with the police, avoid spreading false information, and immediately report any suspicious activities that may interfere with the elections.
“Elections are not only the responsibility of the government, but of every Filipino citizen. Together, let us safeguard our democracy,” concluded Fajardo.
Police stations in the barangays are also on alert to receive reports from the public and ensure the proper implementation of laws during the election period.
