Camp Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga – In solemn observance of Holy Week, the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) held a meaningful Way of the Cross on Good Friday, April 18, at Camp Captain Julian Olivas in the City of San Fernando, Pampanga.
The traditional Catholic devotion, known as the “Stations of the Cross,” commemorates the final hours of Jesus Christ before His Crucifixion. From the 1st to the 14th Station, PRO3 officers and personnel reflected prayerfully on each significant event, walking station by station in quiet meditation.
Rev. Fr. PLTCOL Jonathan Chy, Regional Pastoral Officer, shared that this year’s reflections centered on prayers for peace and order across the region, and for the continued safety and well-being of all PRO3 personnel and their families.
Both uniformed and non-uniformed personnel, along with civilian participants, took part in the solemn activity, reaffirming their faith and spiritual grounding in the midst of their public service duties.
A Lenten Vigil was also held on Maundy Thursday, from 7:00 PM to 12:00 midnight, at the Our Mother of Perpetual Help Chapel inside Camp Olivas. Various police units participated in the night of prayer and reflection.
As PRO3 joins the nation in honoring the sacred traditions of the Lenten Season, it continues to uphold its commitment to public safety through the ongoing implementation of “Ligtas SUMVAC 2025” (Summer Vacation) security measures across Central Luzon, in effect until May 31.
