Camp Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga- Police Regional Office 3 held its 1st Family Day at Camp Olivas, aimed at offering government services and support to police officers and their families on Thursday.
PRO3 Director PBGen Jose Hidalgo Jr. emphasized the importance of including police dependents in all police-community activities nationwide.
The “Pamilya ng Pulis Family Day” is part of an initiative by PNP Chief, PGen Rommel Marbil, to ensure that police personnel and their families receive the same assistance offered to the public, especially during medical missions and disaster relief efforts.
He emphasized the need for officers to prioritize their families’ safety during the rainy season, enabling them to deliver quality public service without worries.
The event aimed to enhance camaraderie, support networks, and the overall welfare of PNP personnel and their families.
Around 500 camp-based police personnel and their family members pre-registered for the program, which included services such as the issuance of the PNP Dependent’s Identification Card, retirement and benefits processing, firearm licensing, medical and dental services, pampering services, PNP clearances, and the distribution of school supplies.
“The well-being of our police officers and their families is paramount. By ensuring their safety and providing essential services, we empower our officers to serve the community more effectively. This Family Day is a step towards strengthening our support network and fostering camaraderie among our personnel,” Hidalgo added.
