PRO3 GEARS UP FOR TROPICAL DEPRESSION “CRISING”

Camp Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga — As Tropical Depression “Crising” and the enhanced Southwest Monsoon are expected to bring strong winds and heavy rains across Central Luzon, Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) has initiated precautionary measures to ensure the safety of communities.

PBGEN Ponce Rogelio Penones Jr., Regional Director of PRO3, has directed the activation of the Critical Incident Management Task Group (CIMTG) on Natural Disaster effective July 18, 2025, as part of the region’s proactive disaster preparedness efforts.

“We need to be ahead of the storm. With strong to gale-force winds expected to hit coastal and upland areas starting tomorrow, we must activate all our disaster response mechanisms. Let’s stay ready, stay connected with our partners, and look after our communities,” Penones stated.

The Regional Director underscored the importance of coordination with local government units, disaster risk reduction councils, and other key agencies to carry out preemptive evacuations and emergency assistance where necessary.
He also reminded all PRO3 personnel to remain vigilant and responsive, especially in areas vulnerable to flooding, landslides, and storm surges.

PRO3 assures the public that its units are on full alert and ready to respond to any emergencies brought about by the approaching weather disturbance.
