PRO3 cracks down anti-drug trade: 9 arrested, P1.48M shabu seized

Camp Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga – In a sweeping anti-drug crackdown across Central Luzon, the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) launched a series of coordinated operations on July 16, 2025, resulting in the arrest of nine suspects and the confiscation of over 218 grams of suspected shabu with a total value of PHP 1,487,092.00. One unlicensed firearm and several rounds of live ammunition were also recovered.
 
At around 5:00 PM, operatives from the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) of Norzagaray Municipal Police Station conducted a buy-bust operation in North Hills Village, Brgy. Tigbe, Norzagaray, Bulacan. The primary target, identified as “Tibot” or “Tusslok” was arrested along with three other individuals: “ Nold,” “Vin,” and “Tian.”
 
Confiscated during the operation were 48.7 grams of suspected shabu with a standard drug price of PHP 331,160.00; one Caliber .45 pistol loaded with seven live ammunition; PHP 5,000.00 in marked buy-bust money; PHP 19,000.00 in various denominations; and drug paraphernalia including a digital weighing scale, rolled aluminum foil, plastic sachets, and pouches.
 
Earlier that day, at around 12:40 AM, elements of the SDEU of Abucay Municipal Police Station in Bataan apprehended “Mark” and “Lito” in a buy-bust operation in Brgy. Wawa, Abucay. Seized from them were 79.99 grams of suspected shabu valued at PHP 543,932.00.
 
In the afternoon, at around 3:36 PM, police operatives from Mabalacat City Police Station-SDEU arrested two street-level individuals, “JR,” and “Soy” in Sitio Mauli, Brgy. Sapang Biabas, Mabalacat City, Pampanga. Recovered during the operation were 30 grams of suspected shabu worth PHP 204,000.00.
 
At around 4:20 PM, a joint buy-bust operation by the Angeles City Drug Enforcement Unit (ACDEU) and Police Station 3 of Angeles City Police Office led to the arrest of “Ron Ron,” a known High-Value Individual (HVI), in a vacant lot in Brgy. Pulung Maragul, Angeles City. Seized from him were four plastic sachets containing approximately 60 grams of suspected shabu, with a standard drug price of PHP 408,000.00.
 
In a statement, PBGEN PONCE ROGELIO I. PEÑONES JR, Regional Director of PRO3, lauded the commitment and swift action of the operating units involved and stated that “This series of operations is part of PRO3’s intensified implementation of the directive from the Chief, PNP, to dismantle drug networks, reduce the availability of illegal drugs, and maintain peace and order throughout the region. PRO3 remains committed to its mission of creating safer and drug-free communities across Central Luzon.”
