PRO3 COPS INTENSIFY CAMPAIGN AGAINST ILLEGAL DRUGS WITH BACK-TO-BACK ARRESTS

Camp Olivas, Pampanga – In a relentless drive to combat illegal drugs in Central Luzon, operatives of the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) successfully apprehended three drug suspects in separate buy-bust operations in Bulacan and Pampanga, leading to the confiscation of approximately 105 grams of suspected shabu worth over PHP 700,000.

The first operation took place on February 5, 2025, at around 8:00 PM in Towerville, Brgy. Gaya-Gaya, City of San Jose del Monte, Bulacan. Anti-illegal drug operatives from the San Jose del Monte City Police Station (SJDM CPS), in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), arrested a suspect identified as alias “Jay R,” 42, a native of Iloilo and a resident of the said area. Seized from the suspect were two heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing approximately 50 grams of suspected shabu, with an estimated value of PHP 340,000, along with a marked PHP 500 bill used in the transaction.

Less than 24 hours later, at around 7:30 PM on February 6, 2025, another buy-bust operation was conducted near Tres Marias Resort, Brgy. Cutud, Angeles City. The Angeles City Drug Enforcement Unit (ACDEU) and Police Station 3 (PS3) arrested two high-value targets (HVIs): alias “Caloy,” 40, a resident of Sto. Domingo, Angeles City, and alias “Bok,” 34, an air-conditioning technician from Dolores, Capas, Tarlac. Confiscated from the suspects were 55 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of PHP 374,000.

PRO3 Regional Director PBGEN Jean S. Fajardo commended the operating teams for their commitment to the PNP’s intensified anti-drug campaign and emphasized that law enforcement will not relent in its pursuit of drug syndicates and pushers.

“These successful operations demonstrate our firm resolve to dismantle drug networks and ensure the safety of our communities. We will not stop until we eliminate the drug menace from Central Luzon,” PBGEN Fajardo stressed.

She further urged the public to actively support the PNP’s anti-drug efforts by reporting any suspicious activities through the nearest police stations or official hotlines.

The arrested suspects are now facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, and will be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law.
