In her first 11 days as Regional Director of Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3), PBGen Jean S. Fajardo has already led the region to a major victory in the fight against illegal drugs and criminality.
Between January 10 and 21, PRO3 operatives conducted 229 anti-illegal drug operations, resulting in the arrest of 343 suspects, including 17 high-value individuals (HVIs). These operations led to the confiscation of illegal drugs worth Php 12,723,333.00, including 1,858 grams of shabu and 751 grams of marijuana. Additionally, 39 firearms were seized, reinforcing the region’s comprehensive efforts to combat both drug-related and firearm-related crimes.
PBGen Fajardo lauded the dedication of PRO3 personnel, emphasizing their critical role in ensuring the safety and security of Central Luzon. She stated, “The commitment of our men and women in uniform is unmatched, and their relentless efforts have made a significant impact on the region’s security. Together, we will continue to fight illegal drugs and criminality, ensuring a safer Central Luzon for all.”
The arrest of 17 HVIs represents a significant blow to drug syndicates operating in the region. PBGen Fajardo added, “These arrests are a strong message to drug syndicates that we will not relent in our fight against illegal drugs. We are intensifying our collaboration with local government units, communities, and other law enforcement agencies to ensure that these illegal substances do not reach our streets.”
The confiscation of 39 firearms highlights the ongoing commitment to maintaining peace and order, particularly as the election season approaches, ensuring that it remains safe and secure.
The PRO3 top cop urged the public to continue supporting law enforcement efforts by remaining vigilant and reporting any suspicious activities. She reassured communities of PRO3’s commitment to protecting the public and upholding the law, stating, “We are here to serve and protect. Your cooperation and vigilance are vital in making sure that we can continue to keep the region safe.”
