POLICE QUICK ACTION FOILS CARNAPPING, NABS ARMED SUSPECTS IN PAMPANGA

Camp Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga – A swift police response led to the arrest of two suspects involved in a carnapping incident that also resulted in charges of grave threat, serious physical injury, and violation of Section 26 (q) of Batas Pambansa Blg. 881 (Omnibus Election Code) on the evening of March 14, 2025.
The incident occurred at around 6:30 PM along JASA Road, Barangay Dolores, City of San Fernando, Pampanga. The victim, identified as “Migs,” 21, a resident of San Fernando, was accosted by two armed suspects who forcibly took his black Toyota Land Cruiser, registered to Mr. Zubiri of Makati City.
The suspects, identified as “Reden,” 34, of Brgy. Balingasay, Bolinao, Pangasinan, and “Ryan,” 44, of Brgy. Arnedo Tinomorong, Bolinao, Pangasinan, allegedly pointed a firearm at the victim to seize the vehicle. The victim attempted to stop them by reaching through the driver’s side window but was dragged as the suspects sped off, sustaining an injury to his left arm.
A motorcycle rider who witnessed the incident immediately alerted nearby police officers stationed along Lazatin Boulevard. The officers, with assistance from SWAT personnel who happened to be in the area, pursued the suspects and intercepted the stolen vehicle in heavy traffic. The suspects were ordered to surrender and were taken into custody without further incident.
Upon searching the suspects, authorities recovered a sling bag containing a loaded .45 caliber STI Edge firearm with serial number 287215 and a magazine loaded with nine live rounds of ammunition.
Both suspects were taken to the police station for proper disposition. Charges for carnapping, grave threats, serious physical injury, and violation of the Omnibus Election Code are being prepared against them.
PBGEN Jean S. Fajardo, Regional Director of PRO3, commended the swift and coordinated efforts of the responding officers, stating, “This incident underscores the vigilance and readiness of our law enforcers in ensuring public safety. Their immediate intervention prevented further harm and led to the suspects’ swift arrest. We remain committed to maintaining peace and order in the region.”
The top cop of Central Luzon also acknowledged the vital role of community cooperation in the successful apprehension and encouraged the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to local authorities.
