THE Philippine National Police (PNP) on Wednesday said that they have identified a person of interest with regards to the death of a 15-year-old lady-biker who was found dead in a grassy lot near Plaridel Bypass Road in Bustos, Bulacan last Friday, August 12, 2022.
In a television interview, PNP spokeswoman Col. Jean Fajardo said they are preparing the complaint that will be filed against the individual after the authorities finish all the needed documents.
“Meron na po tayong person of interest regarding po sa kaso na ito at inaasahan po natin na once makumpleto ‘yung mga dokumento ay makakapagsampa na po tayo ng kaso,” she said.
She said that there is only one suspect based on the accounts of witnesses who last saw Princess Marie Dumantay on Wednesday, August 10 at 5:00PM.
It was learned that the victim sustained several cigarette burns on her arms, bruises, and strangulation marks.
Fajardo said that the suspect is a frequent companion of the victim when she goes on a biking trip in the Quezon City area.
Police authorities are likewise waiting for the findings of the medico legal officer who examined Dumantay’s body to determine if she was sexually assaulted.
