Police busted Korean national, 7 more in anti-illegal drug ops, dismantled drug den in Subic

Camp Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga— In a series of coordinated 2-day anti-illegal drug operations conducted by police authorities successfully dismantled a drug den, arrested several suspects including a Korean national and seized significant quantities of illegal drugs across Central Luzon.
 
On August 16,  a joint operation led by the Subic Municipal Police Station (MPS) in coordination with PDEA Zambales, PDEU, Zambales PIU, and Zambales 2nd PMFC, resulted in the dismantling of a drug den in Barangay Calapacuan, Subic, Zambales. 
 
Operating teams arrested five individuals, including the alleged leader, also known as a certain alias “Negro,” a 21-year-old resident of said barangay.
 
The other suspects were identified in their aliases as “Lon,” 38,, alias “Bernie,” 47, alias “Juvie,” 42, and alias “ Mon,” 31, all of said place.
 
Seized from their possession were 53 grams of suspected shabu with a standard drug price of Php 360,400.00.
 
On the same day, joint operatives of Rizal MPS-DEU, 303rd Maneuver RMFB3, and 2nd PMFC NEPPO, with the assistance of PDEA conducted a buy-bust operation in Barangay Poblacion Sur, Rizal, Nueva Ecija which led to the arrest of two individuals identified as alias “Putol,” 41,  and, alias “Kulot,” 27, and confiscation of 60 grams of suspected shabu valued at Php 408,000.00 along with Php 1,000.00 marked money. 
 
Meanwhile, on Saturday morning (August 17), another significant operation was conducted in Angeles City, Pampanga wherein the Angeles City Drug Enforcement Unit (ACDEU) and Angeles Police Station 2 carried out a buy-bust operation in Barangay Pampang that  led to the arrest of alias “Kim” or “July Kim,” a 43-year-old Korean national.
 
Authorities confiscated 12 tablets suspected to be ecstasy, valued at Php 20,400.00, and 0.5 grams of suspected Ketamine.
 
Arrested suspects are now facing charges for violation of Sec 5 and 11 of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
 
PRO3 OIC PBGen Benjamin DL Sembrano emphasized the significance of these operations, stating, “These operations underscore the relentless efforts of the PNP and the PDEA to combat illegal drug activities. The successful arrests and seizures serve as a testament to our ongoing commitment to maintaining public safety and upholding the rule of law.”
