BALER, Aurora — Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) urges members in the province of Aurora to avail its Konsultasyong Sulit at Tama (Konsulta) package.
It covers preventive care including consultations, health risk screening and assessment, follow-up consultations, selected laboratory tests, and drugs and medicine.
In an interview, PhilHealth Aurora Social Insurance Officer Zyreen Mae Briones said the Konsulta package aims to protect the health of every Filipino through early detection of chronic illnesses and complications.
“We encourage members to avail our Konsulta package. Unlike before when PhilHealth can only be used when you are confined, now you can use it for check-ups,” she added.
The Konsulta package includes laboratory and diagnostic examinations such as complete blood count with platelet count, urinalysis, fecalysis, sputum microscopy, fecal occult blood, pap smear, lipid profile, fasting blood sugar, oral glucose tolerance test, electrocardiogram, creatinine, and hemoglobin A1c.
Also, 21 medications namely antimicrobials, antipyretics, anti-asthma, anti-dyslipidemia, anti-diabetic, anti-hypertensive, hydration and electrolyte supplements, antithrombotic agents, and antihistamines.
Konsulta package not only covers members but also dependents, allowing them to annually examine and check for health risks at accredited health centers.
Registration may be done through the member portal at www.philhealth.gov.ph or at the PhilHealth Local Insurance Office located in Baler.
The state firm has accredited health centers for consultations in the municipalities of Baler, Maria Aurora, Dinalungan, Casiguran, San Luis, and Dingalan.
