PGB fuels recovery and mobility with financial assistance, medical devices rollout

CITY OF MALOLOS — The Provincial Government of Bulacan rolled out its distribution of assistive and medical devices along with emergency kit and financial assistance for fire victims in Bulacan on Monday, January 12, at The Pavilion Hiyas ng Bulacan Convention Center in this city.

According to the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO), 167 residents from different towns across the province received assistive and medical devices, including wheelchair, nebulizer, glucometer, stretcher, cane, fetal doppler, height and weighing scale, and cash assistance worth P2,000.

On the other hand, a total of 64 fire victims were given emergency kits and balde, 50 kilograms of rice, hygiene kits, and financial assistance amounting to P3,000.

Governor Daniel R. Fernando sympathized with the victims of fire in the province, reminding them that they were never left behind and forgotten.

Hindi kayo kinalimutan,” he said.

Fernando also urged the attendees to always secure their houses’ safety first before leaving to avoid the possibilities of fire.

Moreover, the governor told the beneficiaries of assistive and medical devices that the help from the Provincial Government aims to lessen their burden, emphasizing their value regardless of their situation.

Vice Gov. Alexis C. Castro and PSWDO Department Head Rowena J. Tiongson were also present during the distribution and showed support to the Bulakenyo beneficiaries.
