PEÑONES BACKS LAUNCH OF DIGITALIZED SQUAD WEEKLY INTERACTION MEETING AT PRO3

Camp Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga — In a strong show of support for the PNP’s continuing internal transformation, PBGen Ponce Rogelio Penones Jr., Regional Director of Police Regional Office 3, led the launch of the Digitalized Squad Weekly Interaction Meeting (SWIM) today at the PRO3 Patrol Hall, Camp Olivas.

This initiative directly supports the Second Pillar of the Chief PNP’s Program—Unity and Morale within the Ranks, by leveraging technology to enhance interaction, spiritual resilience, and camaraderie among police personnel.

The event was attended by Core Advocates, National Coordinators, and Advisers of My Brother’s Keeper (MBK) Philippines, headed by MGEN (Ret.) Manuel O. Aplasca. Squad leaders from various Police Provincial Offices, city and municipal police stations, and mobile force battalions also participated in the activity.

A key feature of the program was a simulation of a digitalized MBK Squad Meeting, where squad leaders used their own mobile devices to conduct the session. The hands-on activity showcased how digitalization promotes real-time engagement and improves the efficiency of the Squad Weekly Interaction Meetings.

Penones lauded the move toward digital transformation, emphasizing that fostering unity starts with meaningful and consistent engagement among personnel. “By embracing digital tools, we make our systems more accessible and relevant—further strengthening our commitment to unity, morale, and spiritual growth within our ranks,” he stated.
The digitalization of SWIM not only supports the PNP’s modernization efforts but also strengthens its internal foundation by ensuring that every squad member remains connected, guided, and inspired.
