OEC VIOLATORS AND DRUG DEALERS APPREHENDED IN BULACAN

Camp Gen Alejo S Santos, City of Malolos, Bulacan — During enhanced police operations on October 15, 2023, and early today, Bulacan officers apprehended several violators of the Omnibus Election Code (OEC) including drug dealers.

In reports submitted to PCol Relly Arnedo, Provincial Director of Bulacan PPO, a coordinated operation against illegal drugs took place in Pandi, Bulacan on October 15, 2023, leading to the arrest of two (2) individuals on complaints relative to RA 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act), RA 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act), and the Omnibus Election Code (OEC). The suspects, both included in the drug watchlist, were apprehended during an anti-illegal drug operation. Law enforcers confiscated four (4) sachets of suspected shabu and a sachet of suspected marijuana, as well as a caliber .38 revolver with two (2) live rounds, from the suspects.

Meanwhile, in the City of San Jose Del Monte (CSJDM), a suspect was arrested for illegal possession of firearms and ammunition (RA 10591) in relation to a COMELEC gun ban violation. Found in the suspect’s possession was a caliber.22 revolver with five (5) live ammunition. The arrest was prompted by a concerned citizen’s tip about a suspicious person carrying a firearm in the Grotto Vista area of Brgy. Graceville, CSJDM.

Relevant legal complaints against the arrested individuals have been prepared for filing in court.

Moreover, at around 11:45 p.m. on Sunday, a drug buy-bust operation by Plaridel PS resulted in the confiscation of thirty-four thousand pesos (Php 34,000 – Standard Drug Price, SDP) worth of suspected shabu and marked money from the arrested drug dealer in Parulan, Plaridel.

Similarly, a Street Level Individual (SLI) drug suspect was arrested by operatives of Calumpit PS in a drug sting operation at Gatbuca, Calumpit. Four (4) sachets of suspected shabu, valued at six thousand eight hundred (Php 6,800 – SDP) and marked money were confiscated.

The arrested suspects and confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to the Bulacan Provincial Forensic Unit (PFU) for appropriate examination, while criminal complaints for violations of R.A. 9165 against the suspects have been prepared for filing in court.
