THE Metro Pacific-led NLEX Corporation lives up to its value of social responsibility as it provided Noche Buena packs and donated items to some residents of communities traversed by the NLEX-SCTEX.
Some employees and the NLEX Road Warriors distributed Christmas packages to 300 Aeta families and 200 children from Porac, Pampanga and 100 Tullahan River volunteer cleaners from Ugong, Valenzuela City and Talipapa, Quezon City.
NLEX also shared some assorted goods and sacks of rice to Munting Tahanan ng Nazareth, a home for the poor, surrendered, abandoned, and mentally challenged people.
As part of its annual “Toys for Tots” project aimed at bringing cheer to children, the tollway company turned over 18 boxes of employee-donated toys as well as hygiene kits and food supplies to Ephesus Home for Girls in Bulacan. It also fulfilled the essence of giving this holiday season by providing some funds to other charitable institutions in Metro Manila.
NRW players who joined the gift-giving activities include Asi Taulava, Anthony Semerad, Paul Varilla, Kris Rosales, Reden Celda, and Brandon Ganuelas-Rosser.
Instead of sending out gifts to various stakeholders, NLEX and the other companies under the Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation (MPTC) used their Christmas gifts budget to assist and give joy to those in need.
