NAKATAKDANG iproklama sa Miyerkules (May 18, 2022) ang labing-dalawang nanalong senador sa nagdaang 2022 National and Local Elections ayon sa Commission on Elections (Comelec).
Sila ay sina Robin Padilla, Lorna Regina “Loren” Legarda, Rafael “Raffy” Tulfo, Sherwin Gatchalian, Francis “Chiz” Escudero, Mark Villar, Alan Peter Cayetano, Juan Miguel “Migz” Zubiri, Emmanuel Joel Villanueva, Joseph Victor “JV” Ejercito, Risa Hontiveros at Jose “Jinggoy” Estrada.
Ang proclamation date ay itinakda sa isinagawang executive session ng pitong Comelec commissioners nitong nakaraang Linggo ng gabi, ang ika-anim na araw ng canvassing of votes sa Philippine International Convention Center.
Ayon kay Acting Comelec spokesman John Rex Laudiangco sa isang press briefing, ang top 12 Senate candidates ay ipoproklama hindi alinsunod sa kanilang ranking.
Pahayag ni Laudiangco, ang Oversight Committee at ibang working committees ng Comelec, ang natitirang mga boto na hindi pa napapadala ay hindi makkakaapekto sa boto ng mga 12 senador kaya maaari na silang iproklama.
Ang mga senators-elect ay pinayagan na makasama ang hanggang sa limang katao sa naturang proklamasyon.
“Our ceremonies are formal. We know that they [senators-elect and their respective companions] will be cooperating with us as they have before. We have procedures, we have rules, we have guides to assist them. This will be a formal ceremony and we hope we could maintain the formality of the occasion,” wika ni Laudiangco.
Ang mga nanalong party-list ay inaaasahan naman na maipo-proklama sa darating n Huwebes. Dalawa namang representante ang pinayagan na makasama sa proklamasyon.
Nasa 63 party-list groups ang nakatakdang iproklama pero hindi lahat ay ipoproklama sa Huwebes ayon sa Comelec.
“It will only be limited to those who have garnered the guaranteed seats because in the mid or bottom part of the computation the remaining total number of votes might affect the positioning and standing of the party-list groups,” sabi ni Laudiangco.
Base sa partial and unofficial results, ang mga winning party-list groups pa lamang ay ang ACT-CIS, 1-Rider, Tingog, 4Ps, Ako Bicol at Sagip.
