More CCTV cameras to be installed in Angeles City

ANGELES CITY—The city government, led by Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr., is set to enhance security measures with the installation of additional 210 additional closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras across major streets starting this year until June 2024.

This initiative reflects the administration’s commitment to promoting peace and order.

Mayor Lazatin emphasizes the significance of the expanded surveillance system in ensuring the safety and well-being of residents.

The new CCTV cameras will supplement the existing network, bringing the total number of cameras in Angeles City to 375.

Equipped with advanced features like facial recognition, plate number recognition, and speed detection, these cameras will play a crucial role in preventing and deterring criminal activities.

The strategic placement of CCTV cameras along key thoroughfares aims to provide comprehensive coverage, enhancing law enforcement’s ability to monitor public spaces and respond promptly to incidents.

The advanced technological capabilities will assist authorities in identifying and apprehending individuals involved in illegal activities, contributing to the overall security of the city.

Angeles City aims to create a safer environment for residents and visitors through this investment in state-of-the-art security infrastructure.

The expanded surveillance system is expected to act as a deterrent to criminal behavior, ensuring the city remains vigilant in maintaining peace and order.

The installation of additional CCTV cameras aligns with Mayor Lazatin’s vision of making Angeles City one of the safest cities in the Philippines.

By leveraging technology to bolster security efforts, the Lazatin administration demonstrates its proactive approach in addressing potential threats and safeguarding the welfare of the community.

This initiative also highlights the importance of collaboration between the local government and constituents.

Mayor Lazatin calls upon the support and cooperation of the business sector, barangay leaders, and residents to actively participate in maintaining a secure environment.

Working together, the community can contribute to the success of these security initiatives and foster a strong sense of collective responsibility in ensuring public safety.

With the installation of these additional cameras, residents can have increased confidence in the administration’s efforts to create a secure and peaceful environment for all.
