Man selling illegal firecrackers nabbed in Bocaue

A 45 year old electrician was arrested by operatives of Bocaue Police Station for selling illegal firecrackers in a buy bust operation along by pass road in Sitio Bihunan, Barangay  Biñang 1st, Bocaue, Bulacan on Sunday.
Bulacan Police acting director PCol Manuel Lukban Jr. identified the arrested suspect as Amando Relatos, married and presently residing at said place.

Investigation showed that Bocaue Police received an information from a confidential informant pertaining to an illegal selling of firecrackers.


Elements of Intelligence Operatives Unit of Bocaue Police led by its chief of police PLtCol Ronie Pascua immediately conducted a buy bust operation which resulted to the arrest of the suspect.


Confiscated from the arrested suspect were one piece of open bundle containing seven  packs of big Trianggulo (Kabasi).

The suspect is now detained in Bocaue Police detention cell where he was cahrged for violation of RA 7183.

On Tuesday Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) regional director Mathew Baccay inspected the firecracker stores in Barangay Turo of said town particularly the Dinglasan Fireworks, Night Light Fireworks and RT Sayo Fireworks.

The inspection also to assure that the rules and regulations stated in Republic Act No. 7183 on manufacturing, sale and distribution are being observed by manufacturers, dealers and retailers.

Accordingly, there are only 82 licensed dealers of firecrackers and fireworks in the province and 20 licensed manufacturers that are allowed to sell the said products and 9 manufacturers with Philippine Standard Mark License.
