ANGELES CITY — Christmas came early for the barangay officials and workers here as Mayor Carmelo ‘Pogi’ Lazatin Jr. distributed his personal gifts of Christmas hams, five kilos of rice, and t-shirts in the 33 barangays of the city.
This has been a yearly tradition of Mayor Lazatin to give personal Christmas gifts to barangay officials, which started since his days as City Councilor in 2013 as a Christmas token for barangay officials and workers’ efforts.
Mayor Lazatin recognized the relentless work and efforts of officials and workers in the grassroots level, who work hand-in-hand with the city government to bring services closer to all Angeleños.
On behalf of Mayor Lazatin, Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel, Barangay Sta. Trinidad Captain Danilo Nacu, and Gender and Development Officer Mina Cabiles led the distribution of hams, rice, and t-shirts.
Meanwhile, Nacu acknowledged the early Christmas tokens of Mayor Lazatin as a motivation for the barangay officials and workers to continue to serve their constituents especially those in dire need.
New Year namin,” Nacu said.
