ANGELES CITY — Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr. has ordered for the inspection of all electrical connections of the Angeles City Hall, auxiliary offices, public markets, and rural health offices.
This is through Memorandum Order No. 922, Series of 2024 of Mayor Lazatin on April 23, 2024.
In the said order, Lazatin tasked the City Engineering Office, headed by Helen Ayro to conduct the thorough electrical inspection.
Mayor Lazatin said the inspection of electrical connections will mitigate possible risk of electrical failure or fire due to extreme heat.
Among the offices which the team from CEO will inspect are all offices at the City Hall Compound, the San Nicolas Public Market, Pampanga Public Market, City College of Angeles, and the six rural health units.
“Ito po ay ginagawa natin bilang ating proactive measure. Inuuna po natin ang kaligtasan ng ating mga empleyado na katuwang natin sa pagbibigay serbisyo sa mga Angeleño,” Lazatin said.
Lazatin recently had a meeting with Chief Adviser IC Calaguas, Secretary to the Mayor Rafael Angeles, Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel, CEO Electrical Division Chief Engr. Giovanni Aquino, General Services Office headed by Evangeline Malonzo, Gender and Development Head Mina Cabiles, and City Treasurer Officer-in-Charge Jennifer Castro regarding the immediate inspection of electrical connections, as well the no usage of Liquefied Petroleum Gas in the offices of City Hall.
