ANGELES CITY – Some 282 families from Barangay Margot received lot numbers from the city government here on July 10, 2024.
This is part of the efforts being undertaken by the city government under the leadership of Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. to provide a decent housing and land for urban poor families.
Mayor Lazatin, who personally turned over the lot numbers to the family-beneficiaries, said he together with the City Councilor and Angeles City Human Settlement and Urban Development Officer (ACHSUDO) Atty. Arvin Suller, are inclusively working to continue providing programs that will help the residents of Angeles City, especially those who have lost their homes.
The 282 family-beneficiaries who were displaced in Barangay Margot will be relocated in Barangay Sapangbato.
In fact, according to ACSHUDO Deputy Roque Nava, the family-beneficiaries already received their certificates of lot awards last April 2022.
“Alam naman po natin na ang liderato po ni Mayor Lazatin ay lumilingap sa kapakanan ng mga kababayan nating nangangailangan ng sariling tahanan,” Nava added.
This is not the first time that the Lazatin administration pushed for the initiative to provide housing and distributed land titles to displaced families.
To recall, since 2019, Mayor Lazatin has awarded 1,962 certificates of lot and distributed 787 land titles and deeds of donation to the urban poor Angeleño families through the LUPAHO.
Also present during the awarding of certificates are members of the Barangay Margot Council, headed by Dominador Lising Jr.
