ANGELES CITY — Having affordable homes will be no longer be a problem for the 3,000 informal settler-families in Barangay Amsic, as they will receive their certificates of lot from the city government under the leadership of Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr.

Mayor Lazatin signed a Memorandum of Agreement with the Narciso Family for the on-site relocation of 3,000 families. The city government will purchase the 158,516 square meter land that the families are currently occupying.

“We have to ensure that these families have easy access to basic services, such as having their own shelter. We wanted to end their worries of having no permanent address,” Lazatin said.

This week, 1,000 families will be awarded their certificates of lot. Each day, 150 families will be scheduled to receive the certificates.

According to Local Urban Poor Affairs and Housing Office Deputy Roque Nava, the families will receive certificates of lot depending on the measurement of the house they are occupying.
