Hontiveros, Aquino, Diokno grace Malolos ‘Iskulimpiks 2025’ opening

CITY OF MALOLOS, Bulacan — The City Government of Malolos formally launched the opening of the ‘Iskulimpiks 2025’ graced by Senator Risa Hontiveros, former senator Bam Aquino and Atty. Chel Diokno held at the Malolos Sports and Convention Center on February 21. 
With the theme “Pagpapatuloy ng Kasaysayan, Kahusayan at Kadakilaan”, the Iskulimpiks is a one-day competition that aims to strengthen the identity of Filipino youth through sports, arts, and science. It is part of the Malolos City Government’s “Fiesta Republika” celebration.

The competition was participated by students from various schools in every district in the city, where they showcased their skills and talents in various fields.
Aside from sports, the contest also features competitions in arts and sciences aimed at strengthening youth’s appreciation for the country’s culture and history.
Senator Hontiveros commended the Malolos City Government for its continued advancement in love for the rich culture of the Philippines.
“This is not just a competition (Iskulimpiks). This is an opportunity to deepen our connection to our history, cultures and each other, the games we play, the music we listen to, our dance, language, and community, all of this proves that being a Filipino is not only in our blood, being Filipino is in our hearts,” said Hontiveros.
BAM AQUINO
According to former Senator Bam Aquino, who is running again for the Senate in the upcoming May elections, because of the law he enacted, free education for college students, millions of students and family benefited, and assisted by it.
According to Aquino, it is also important to have education reform and the free college law will be further strengthened if he is lucky enough to win the senatorship.
“We will try to provide you with everything that the youth, the youth of Bulacan, need to graduate from college. Because what is in the heart of Bam Aquino is that every young Filipino can graduate, to help their family and our country to uplift the standard of living, Aquino added.
CHEL DIOKNO
Diokno, an educator, lawyer and one of the Akbayan Part-list nominees, wholeheartedly congratulated the youth participating in the Iskulimpiks and wished each participant victory in the competitions.
Also included in the competitions Karera ng Kasaysayan, Laro ng Lahi, Bakbakan sa Kasaysayn, RepublikAwitan, Sabayang Bigkas, Kasaysayawan, at Ginoo at Binibining Idolo ng Kampus.
