Camp Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga- In support to President Rodrigo Roa Duterte’s “whole-of-nation approach” in ending local communist armed conflict, a former CTG member in Nueva Ecija voluntarily surrendered to authorities on Friday, April 8, 2022.
PCol Jess Mendez, Acting Police Director of Nueva Ecija Police Provincial Office (PPO) said that personnel of 2nd PMFC together with other concerned agencies facilitated the voluntary surrender of “@Ka Simos”, former Vice Squad Leader and Platoon S4 under Josefino Corpuz command in 1999-2004 who had been operating in different areas of Nueva Ecija and Nueva Vizcaya.
PRO3 Regional Director PBGen Mathew Baccay said that PNP-PRO3 together with other members of the Regional Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (RTF-ELCAC) will remain committed in securing, ensuring, and implementing law and order for the well-being of Filipinos including the future generations.
