CAMP General Alejo S Santos, City of Malolos — A former member of the New People’s Army (NPA) personally appeared and voluntarily surrendered to 2nd PMFC, in Brgy Sampaloc, San Rafael Bulacan on February 1, 2023 at about 1:30 PM.
Based on the report to Col Relly Arnedo, Provincial Director, Bulacan Police Provincial Office (BulPPO), the surrendered former rebel member of Guerrilla Front Narciso of the New People’s Army operating in the Provinces of Bulacan, Rizal, Aurora and Quezon, was identified as Alias Ka Diego, a 19-year-old, farmer, from Sitio Inuman, Brgy. San Lorenzo, Norzagaray, Bulacan.
The surrender was facilitated by the joint elements of the Bulacan 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC), along with the Bulacan Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU), Norzagaray MPS, 1st PMFC, and 70th Infantry Battalion, Philippine Army.
Alias Ka Diego is presently under the custody of 2nd PMFC for investigation and custodial debriefing.
Bulacan Police is stern on its intensified campaign against insurgency and terrorism to ensure the provision of social services, employment opportunities and improved quality of life in communities that have been experiencing or are vulnerable to armed communist conflict.
