CAMPGeneral Alejo S Santos, City of Malolos — A 50 years old former rebel was voluntarily surrendered in the authorities of San Rafael, Bulacan on January 26, 2023.
PCol Relly Arnedo, Provincial Director, Bulacan Police Provincial Office (BUL PPO) identified the surrendered member as alias Ka Brando, 50 years old, a former member of Hukbong Mapagpalaya ng Bayan (HMB),CPP-NPA assigned at Sandatahang Yunit Propaganda (SYP) from year 1991 to 2008 operating in Bulacan.
2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC) said that on January 26, 2023, at about 11:30 AM, joint elements of 2nd PMFC, Bulacan 1st PMFC, PIU Bulacan PPO, PIT Bulacan, 70th IB and DRT MPS facilitated the voluntary surrender of said former CTG (Communist Terrorist Group) member.
Alias Ka Brando is now under the custody of 2nd PMFC for documentation and for Custodial Debriefing.
Bulacan Police is stern on its intensified campaign against insurgency and terrorism to ensure the provision of social services, employment opportunities and improved quality of life in communities that have been experiencing or are vulnerable to armed communist conflict.
