Camp Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga — The Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) made significant strides in upholding the law and ensuring the safety of the public as law enforcement officers apprehended six individuals and seized weapons on the first day of the Comelec Gun Ban.
During the initial hours of the implementation of gun ban, law enforcement officers successfully apprehended two individuals in Bataan.
Paul Ivan Brent De Leon was found in possession of a Caliber .38 firearm loaded with four live rounds, while Rocky Collado had an improvised handgun loaded with two 12-gauge shotgun rounds.
Additionally, three transparent heat-sealed sachets containing approximately 12 grams of suspected shabu, valued at Php81,600, were confiscated from Collado’spossession.
Also on August 28, Moiselene Mangune and Virgilio Landayan were apprehended in Sta. Ana, Pampanga, with a Thompson light rifle gun equipped with an inserted magazine loaded with five Caliber .45 live ammunition rounds.
Similarly, Raul Magpantay was arrested in Meycauayan, Bulacan and was found with a Caliber .45 firearm loaded with four live rounds, and Joshua Bognot in Angeles City, Pampanga, was discovered with an Armscor Caliber .38 firearm loaded with four live rounds.
In Balagtas, Bulacan, Bulacan PPO personnel arrested Junior Baltazar, 32 of Barangay Santol after he was flagged down during Comelec gun ban on Monday in Barangay Borol 1st.
Recovered from his possession 9 sachet of suspected shabu, and a .45 caliber pistol. All suspects were initially flagged down for not wearing helmets while riding their motorcycles.
Appropriate charges for the violation of the Omnibus Election Code are currently being prepared against the suspects for court referral.
