Ex-BFP officer wanted for illegal recruiting

A massive manhunt operation is underway for Reyca Janisa Palpallatoc, a former Senior Fire Officer 2 (SFO2) of the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), who’s facing charges for large-scale illegal recruitment.
A former member of the Bureau of Fire and Protection (BFP), Senior Fire Officer 2 (SFO2) Reyca Janisa Palpallatoc, is being hunted by the Malolos City Police and the Intelligence Unit of the Bulacan Police Provincial Office for a case of Illegal Recruitment Committed in Large Scale. According to reports, Palpallatoc allegedly asked victims for large sums of money in exchange for promised government jobs.

The police, led by Police Major Edgardo Tongol, raided Palpallatoc’s house in Malolos City on January 29, armed with an arrest warrant issued by Judge Ronald August Tan of the Pasay City Regional Trial Court Branch 297.
However, they failed to find her, and neighbors reported that she rarely returns home and was last seen during Holy Week.

The authorities believe Palpallatoc may have fled the country to avoid facing charges. In addition to the criminal case, she’s also facing administrative cases for immorality and professional misconduct filed before the Office of the Ombudsman and the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC).

Investigators are also looking into possible accomplices, including Palpallatoc’s mother, Jane, and her live-in partner, Cleotilde Delos Santos, who are both BFP employees.
They’re suspected of helping Palpallatoc escape and may be involved in illegal recruitment and obstruction of justice.
