BALANGA CITY (PIA) — Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) opened the One Town One Product (OTOP) kiosk at Morong Star Hotel and Resort in Bataan.
It will serve as a platform to exhibit the province’s products thus expanding their reach particularly among tourists.
DTI OIC-Provincial Director Eileen Ocampo said the kiosk is a sub-component of the OTOP Program which provides a marketing avenue for micro, small and medium enterprises to display, showcase and sell their products.
Ocampo expressed her hopes for these OTOP kiosks to be strategically placed within Negosyo Centers and gasoline stations across the province.
“I envision that, through these OTOP Kiosks, Bataan products will enjoy increased visibility and accessibility in the market,” she added.
Products on display and for sale at the newly-launched kiosk include cashew nuts, cookies, polvoron, shrimp paste, assorted chips, bamboo handicrafts, shirts, sandals, and bags.
