Camp Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga – A major drug operation in Bacolor, Pampanga, led to the seizure of P2.7 million worth of shabu and the arrest of four suspects, including a High-Value Individual (HVI), on January 25, 2025.
Report reaching Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) regional director PBGen Jean Fajardo showed that the operation was conducted around 8:12 PM in Brgy. Cabetican, Bacolor, highlights the relentless efforts of authorities to combat the spread of illegal drugs in the region.
The arrested individuals were identified only in their aliases as “Jane,” 45, a fish vendor from San Quintin, Pangasinan; alias “Jaime,” 52, a security guard from Quezon City; alias “Jeff,” 44, a motorcycle mechanic from Caloocan City; and alias “Rie,” 39, a tattoo artist from Quezon City.
The operation was led by the Pampanga Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU), in coordination with the Provincial Intelligence Unit, Bacolor Municipal Police Station, and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Region 3 (PDEA R3).
Their collaborative efforts resulted in the seizure of approximately 402 grams of suspected shabu, valued at P2,733,600.
In addition to the illegal drugs, authorities also confiscated a Para-Ordnance .45 caliber pistol, a magazine with three live rounds, a Colt Trooper MK-III .38 caliber revolver, a gray Redmi cellphone, and a gray Hyundai Sonata with plate number TOG 788.
The suspects were informed of their constitutional rights during the operation and are now in PDEU custody for the filing of appropriate charges.
Fajardo said they will face violations of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 (RA 9165) and charges related to the illegal possession of firearms and ammunition.
Fajardo, commended the successful operation, stating: “This accomplishment reflects our commitment to rid Central Luzon of illegal drugs and ensure the safety of our communities. The arrest of this High-Value Individual and their accomplices sends a strong message that we will not tolerate any activity that undermines the well-being of our people. I commend the teamwork and dedication of our personnel and our partner agencies for this significant achievement.”
The Central Luzon top cop also emphasized the importance of community involvement in the fight against illegal drugs, urging the public to report any suspicious activities.
“This operation demonstrates our unwavering resolve to uphold the law, maintain public order, and ensure the safety of our region,” Fajardo added.
