The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) – Tarlac 2nd District Engineering Office (DEO) recently kicked off its 2024 Inter-Color Sportsfest with a ceremonial parade participated in by employees.
District Engineer Edward Ricardo Ramos shared that the Inter-Color Sportsfest aims to strengthen relationships, promote physical fitness, and uphold the agency’s values by encouraging team spirit and wellness, contributing to a more cohesive and productive workforce.
Ramos also expressed appreciation to the SAMAhan ng mga KAwaning NAgkakaisa (SAMAKANA), led by Engr. Robert Nunag, for organizing the event, further highlighting the strong teamwork within the office.
“Through SAMAKANA’s initiative, this event continues to foster unity, collaboration, and stronger connections within our office, contributing to a harmonious workplace culture,” Ramos said.
The sporting event was officially opened with a message from Quality Assurance Section Chief Engr. Julio Elano Villanis, who highlighted the importance of wellness through sports, followed by the Oath of Sportsmanship led by OIC-Chief of Construction Section Engr. Randy Ligsay, ensuring the competition remained fair and respectful for all participants.
